Art is indeed a beautiful thing
My adventure kicked off this time as an unplanned trip to Sydney. I didn't visit Sydney for long as I just got back from Kota Kinabalu a few days before. A friend of mine is studying in Sydney so I took the chance to head out and relax before the new semester takes its toll on me.
The thing I love about being in Australia is that you can literally find art everywhere you go. From secret lanes to huge graffiti on the wall. Even the people itself is a form of art that not many can see.
My first day in Sydney was overall exciting and tiring. I had to catch a flight from Melbourne at 6.30 am so I had to leave the house around 4 am. Yes, I didn't sleep for the whole night in fear of oversleeping and missing my flight. Everything was worth it of course. There's a really huge difference in terms of community in Sydney and in Melbourne. I enjoyed a great variety of Thai food in Sydney which I only found few in Melbourne. All was undoubtedly pricier than Melbourne but for sure it is worth to pack your bags and just travel. I didn't have time to actually do an OOTD thus brings us to the photo of me wearing black (HA! BLACK!).
City had a really busy vibe as everyone was rushing to go from one point to another but what's so different with Melbourne? They're both a fast paced city. I personally enjoy the Melbourne environment better for sure but yeah for sure Sydney has its own specialties.
I stumbled upon this artwork when I was at Manly beach. It is quite unique and one of the best chalk art I've seen ever since I came to Australia. It is beautiful and in a way I can sense its sorrow just by looking at the artwork. Manly beach was great with its freezing water (for sure it's winter, DUH). What surprised me the most about being in Sydney is that they don't really have a tea culture there.
I went to Starbucks to get an Iced Mint Tea which I would normally have every time after a meal in Melbourne but surprisingly the barista told me that I might not get this in other branches. He actually asked on how I would like it to be brewed which caught me by surprise. The same thing happened to me when I went to a cafe at the airport; same surprised reactions from the baristas.
